About me

I live by a river in England. I was born in Uruguay, moved to Senegal when I was 10 days old, then to Italy and Washington D.C. I went to boarding school in England, university in Oxford and graduate school at Harvard. I spent a large part of my working life as a financial journalist, based in London, New York, Beijing and Shanghai. I spent my year off (aged 18) teaching in Zimbabwe. I have a Dutch passport, but I'm more English than anything else.
