Reading Nonfiction

Reading is important. By reading every day, at any opportunity, it's possible to learn a lot. I read all the time. I read on the tube. I read on the train. I read in bed, I read in the bath. When I'm driving I listen to an audiobook. It's a lot more fun than not reading.

About me

I live by a river in England. I was born in Uruguay, moved to Senegal when I was 10 days old, then to Italy and Washington D.C. I went to boarding school in England, university in Oxford and graduate school at Harvard. I spent a large part of my working life as a financial journalist, based in London, New York, Beijing and Shanghai. I spent my year off (aged 18) teaching in Zimbabwe. I have a Dutch passport, but I'm more English than anything else.
